Hah~ I ran out of ammo myself on a mission, but I was fortunate to be on one that had ample supplies. I lifted my reloads with no problem. My Bryar isn't quite a laser pistol, but it's from a world that has a much higher standard of technology than my own. It can be used to stun targets or fatally shoot them, depending on the setting, and it has fairly standard range for a sidearm.

If you're looking for someone in the village who can be of great assistance, you should keep your eyes peeled for Mine Fujiko. She's similarly unhindered by the barrier, and she's a lot more heavily armed than I am.
