[He closes his eyes for a moment, recalling her words to him when he'd asked her what was so special about Shu. Shu is everything he's not when it comes to emotions and how he feels and expresses them, he knows this. He knows it and has accepted it, but it still hurts.]

[Shu sounds like he's calmed down but he sounds more upset than apathetic.]

[Because he knows Shu does, whether he'll admit to it or not.]

You can do what you want with Elizabeth, just don't get me involved in her. I'll only cause you more trouble.

[Shu's tone suggests that he does understand, but he's not admitting to it.]

I don't want to hear that you've been bothering her in any way.

You don't seem to care about anything but Elizabeth. I should have known better.

[FINE, BE THAT WAY. Gai is actually going to be the mature adult and just let Shu go off to have his tantrum rather than calling him back to yell at him.
