This post can be used to thread with or get in contact with Gai at any point when he doesn't have a post up! Just comment here (please use the format [Action, June 24th], [Voice, March 5th], etc. to make it clear when the thread is taking place and what type of thread it is) for a thread with him; if it's a continuation of another thread or post, please link that so I remember the context of the thread.

[Action]
All he knows is that he wants more of it.]
We can fix that pretty easily.
[Sensing that shift, he pulls her a bit closer, arching his hips up just enough to brush his erection between her legs, but not enough to give that firmer pressure that he knows she wants.]
Tell me how I feel inside you. I want to hear you say it.
[Action]
[She grins and shifts her shoulders back and forth as she looks down at Gai. Cheeky little pretty boy, wasn't he?]
Hard, and cool. [She bites her lip and considers a bit longer, like she's withholding a secret.] But it's not just what you feel like resting inside of me. It's when you slide in and slide out that I feel... stretched, and sensitive, and wanted. I feel like I belong to you, and like you're giving yourself to me too.
I feel like I can't open myself any wider to you. And yet I can never get enough. I know I could stick anything inside of myself and feel the most basic of sensations, but it's you that makes me feel like there's a fire where we're joined, like I never want you to stop thrusting into me.
[Action]
Hearing this goes a long way towards assuaging those fears.]
I want you more than I've ever wanted anyone or anything in my life. You turn me on without even trying... I've never felt anything like it before. Being inside of you feels like the most natural thing in the entire world, and I never want it to end. I could stay that way for hours if it were possible.
Nothing I've ever had before even comes close to being with you.
[Action]
I can think of something that feels almost the same as being with you. [She arranges Gai's hair, brushing it off of his shoulders and onto the couch with one finger.] It was the first time I had heard live music. The moment took hold of me, and I felt like I couldn't do anything wrong. I felt like I wanted to fly, and I spread my arms out and danced like I might do that.
That's how I feel, every time you touch me, or look at me. Every time I see you.
[Action]
[He slides his arms around the small of her back to pull her even closer to him, nuzzling at her collarbone as she plays with his hair. He still can't believe he even has this at all-- always, in the back of his mind, there's a fear that one day he's going to wake up, that all of this has just been a wonderful dream.]
And I'd be willing to die a million times if it meant I got to be with you like this.
[It's frightening, almost, being this honest with her... with anyone. But this too feels right.]
[Action]
There are a million worlds, as infinite as the number of variables in the life of one individual. Who's to say you haven't died a million times, or... will die a million times...
[She gets a strange, scared look on her face that she tries to bury quickly.] And... of those million Gais and million Elizabeths-- [She forces a small laugh.] --we were brought together. Maybe because our scattered lives were hard enough lived only once through, and so we needed each other. And happiness. Finally.
[Action]
From the look on her face, Elizabeth doesn't seem very happy about that thought either. So Gai just freezes, holding her awkwardly, not quite sure where to go from here.]
Guess we should count ourselves lucky for that much.
[Action]
[Elizabeth could almost be intrigued by how fast she appears to have cooled Gai down. Not that she blames him, she should have played that back in her head before saying anything. But Gai bringing up dying a million times, Elizabeth's forays into different worlds, Robert's insistence that she saved so many versions of herself from Comstock by doing something repulsive... they all conspired to take over her thoughts.]
It's... only a theory. I read about it once. It could be completely wrong. [Except that it wasn't. She pushes those doubts away by leaning down and kissing Gai softly. To distract both of them.]
If this is the only moment we have in the entire span of time and interdimensionality-- [
Totally a word.] --I shouldn't waste it on theories. I'm sorry.[Action]
His life is over. It's all done. Whatever may become of him in countless other universes doesn't really matter-- never did really matter, because he wouldn't know about it. He could've lived his entire life here without that knowledge and been perfectly content.
But now it's in his mind, and now he's thinking about it, and the more he does so, the faster his arousal dies.]
I don't give a damn about other universes or other versions of us or anything like that. None of them matter. The only thing that matters is the you and me who are right here, right now.
[Action]
Gai-- [Elizabeth laces her fingers through his hair.] Gai, even if there were a million of you, I know I would find you. Over and over again. Because... because...
[Uncharacteristically, she's lost for words. Then she takes one of Gai's hands away from her back and plants his palm, very deliberately, on her breast.] Because we're a fit for each other. I fit in your hand, your hand fits me. We aren't meant to be apart, if there's only one of each of us or ten million. I wouldn't let us be apart, I know that.
[She squeezes Gai's hand tightly, trying to hang on, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. She won't let them be apart, she won't.]
[Action]
Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. She understood all of the parts of him he'd never shown anyone else, she knew when to back off and not ask questions, and she knew when he needed her. Maybe he is broken. But Elizabeth filled in all of those holes and made him feel more complete than he ever had in his life.]
I've already defied the universe once. What's one more time compared to that, or even a dozen more times? It's not like the world could do anything worse to me than it already has.
[He presses a kiss to her shoulder.]
I would tear the very fabric of the universe itself if it meant I could stay with you.
[Action]
If there are millions and millions of possibilities out there in all of time and space, I can only be grateful to all of those worlds. They pulled two threads out of an endless tapestry and tied them together, and what would the odds of that be? They gave me freedom, and love, and that was all I wanted in the end.
[She tries for another kiss, but she's very tentative about it. Feeling Gai kiss her with half a heart was terrible, she'd rather he come to her if he's ready.]
[Action]
That's a pretty romantic image. [And he smiles.] Where I come from, we have a legend about destined lovers being connected by a red string. It's said that the gods tie the string to the little fingers of two people who are destined to meet so that they'll be sure to find each other some day. The thread can tangle or stretch, but it will never break.
Maybe there wasn't any coincidence to it after all.
[Action]
[Action]
This is the first time I've ever really put much stock in it myself.
[Action]
[She grins and tugs Gai's hand over towards her and kisses where their fingers are joined.]
[Action]
Consider this a promise. No matter what happens, we'll come find each other.
[Action]
[Elizabeth runs her other hand over Gai's collarbone and holds his gaze for a moment.] I interrupted what we were doing. Can you lie back so I can make it up to you?
[Action]
How could I say no to an offer like that?
[And he shifts a bit, turning himself sideways so that he can do what she asked and lie down on the couch, grey eyes fixed intently on her. He actually isn't sure what she has in mind right now, which just makes it all the more appealing to him.]
[Action]
[She starts with one arm around him, her other resting on his shoulder. And she just kisses him--lips, jaw, neck, ear, shoulder... she seems intent to explore every part of Gai with her lips.]
[Action]
Gentle and loving, and he lifts his own hand to run up and down her back as she does this, just encouraging her.]
[Action]
[After a few more kisses, she tries to deepen it with a little slip of tongue. Her fingers still trace over Gai's shoulders.]
Be honest... if you could have me do anything right now, what would it be?
[Action]
He's so into it that he almost whines a little when she pulls away to speak to him.]
Anything at all?
[Action]
...yes, anything at all. [She asked--too late for caveats now. Besides, whatever Gai wants, Elizabeth is sure she'll enjoy doing it for him.]
[Action]
Well then...
[And he lets his voice slide down the register into what can only be described as a purr.]
I want to be one with you.
