You're the third person who has wanted that. In my entire life. [The rest of her is catching up, and she squeezes Gai's hand tightly while she keeps crying. It seems ridiculous somehow, but the moment is so overwhelming she can't help it. If lightning struck her dead now, she would die knowing love and that was enough.]

I'm sorry... this isn't right to do this right now, but I can't... I can't stop it. [She laughs wetly and looks for Gai's eyes.] Just hold me for a minute, please... I'll be done soon.

[Wordlessly Gai nods and just tightens his arm around her, squeezing her hand back. She'll find what she's looking for in his eyes: they're bright with arousal, but his gaze holds nothing but pure adoration and love for her. There isn't even any disappointment at being interrupted like this. To him, there's nothing ridiculous about this at all.

Truth be told, it's more than a little overwhelming to him too, he just isn't being as obvious about it. This is the first time in his entire life that sex has ever had any meaning for him, the first time there have been any emotions attached. It's frightening, in a way. [His only response is to laugh and pull her into a kiss that makes his feelings on that matter more clear than any words could.

When at last they break, he's smiling mischievously, his eyes sparkling.]

You don't have to apologize for that-- this way I'm ready for the second act whenever you are. And trust me, I won't have any problems getting off from that.

[No, what's more worried about is how long he'll be able to last given just how worked up he is right now.]

[Ah, thank goodness. Elizabeth hoped Gai wouldn't be irate or even exasperated over her inability to handle him with everything else going on. She grins at his enthusiasm, already feeling infected by whatever mischievous thing he has planned next.]

[He can't deny how appealing the thought of her mimicking what he'd done with his hands and mouth is. The heat that pools low in his stomach at the mental image is proof of that much, but no, he doesn't want her to feel obligated to do that. Quite frankly, he's not sure how much more waiting he can stand. He wants her and he wants her now, foreplay be damned. They can do more of that next time.]

He'd had the forethought to set them in an accessible place before this evening even began, so it's just a matter of reaching in to grab one, no fumbling around even needed.

Then, by way of explanation to Elizabeth, since he's pretty sure she wouldn't recognize what a condom is:]

I think both of us are a little too young to even think about being parents yet.

[Experience makes it easy for him to open it up and roll it on, tossing the wrapper back into the drawer before he goes about repositioning himself between her legs with a smile, leaning down for a kiss as he does so.]

[Elizabeth blinks when he moves--she was so mentally prepared for the moment that it's a little startling when Gai backs away. But whatever he needs, she'll work with. If he had to get up and get a glass of water in that moment she wouldn't have done anything but smile and tell him to come back soon.]

[Whatever he's doing, Elizabeth is completely in the dark. The sentence doesn't immediately connect to the little wrapper until she sees him rolling it onto himself. Then it makes sense. She gives a little nervous laugh.]

No, no, not now. Not here. [Wouldn't that be a fun conversation with the two men she's living with...]

[She smiles as he assumes his position again, smiles as he kisses her. Elizabeth's hands go up into Gai's hair and stroke gently. She wraps one of her legs around Gai's calf, every part of her curling into him in want.] Do I have to do something different with ah, that on you?

[Chuckling, Gai shakes his head, dropping another soft kiss against her lips.]

No, you won't even notice it's there. [He'll make sure of that much.] It's just a precaution.

[Then, sobering up a little, he kisses her forehead before just leaning his own against hers.]

I'm not going to lie to you... this may hurt at first. If it does, I want you to tell me, and I'll stop. Don't feel like you have to stay quiet for my sake.

[Because the last thing that he wants, the very last thing in the world, is to cause her any sort of pain that he doesn't have to. After what he did with his fingers, he's sure that her body is about as physically ready as it can be, but she is a virgin. Things have to stretch, and that can sometimes be painful. He'll do whatever he can to make it as easy for her as possible.]

[Elizabeth hadn't expected that it could hurt. But she supposes this is the answer to her silent wondering as to how Gai was supposed to fit into her. Her body would no doubt allow it, but like any unused muscle there would be a painful stretch. She takes a moment to own that idea, and nods softly.]

But you have to keep going if I say to, even if it looks like I'm hurting. People wouldn't write books about this if it hurt all the time, would they? So it must feel good after the initial... hurt.

[Smirking, he lets his tone drop lower, take on a decidedly seductive edge.]

[Apparently that was good, and Gai was enjoying it. So much that Elizabeth thinks he's having a bit of a melt-down. The way he's saying her name and shaking and breathing... it's amazing. Gai always seemed so carefully put-together and unflappable. And something told her that this was new for him as well, being this worked up in the bedroom. Maybe she pushed too hard...]

[Elizabeth reaches up and strokes his hair, his cheek, his shoulder. Trying to help him calm down and come back to planet Earth. Or Luceti--wherever.]

[It's taken Gai nearly a decade to perfect his leader face, the image that he is unshakable and unaffected by everything, no matter how exciting or terrible. [The look on Elizabeth's face is so full of sincere concern that he can't stop himself from letting out a breathless little chuckle.
